Dear Members,

Cal/OSHA has published their Draft COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Regulations to be addressed at their November 19 meeting. The objective of the proposed emergency standards is to reduce employee exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19, and therefore reduce COVID-19 illness and transmission.

The documentation provided on the link below, and its subsequent links is voluminous, but it does describe current law and the proposed prevention regulations. Briefly, these regulations for employers will include; specific definition of terms, prevention programs, systems for communication, identification and evaluation of hazards, investigations and responses to COVID-19 cases, correction of hazards, training and instruction, and more.

More information on the Emergency Regulations is forthcoming. If you have any questions, please call my mobile number at 657-281-9720.
