Below is a link to a recent Cal/OSHA news release regarding citations issued to multiple employers for COVID-19 violations. Some of these violations were discovered through their enforcement taskforce
Related to recent ECA messages regarding COVID-19, officials in the San Francisco area are urgently considering the removal of the “essential” designation for construction—a designation that most of the construction industry in California has been afforded since the COVID-19 crisis began back in March.
Please note that the ECA has executed a COVID-19 related MOA with the Laborers regarding Pre-Employment COVID-19 Testing. This is a well-written and comprehensive agreement that spells out protocols for both the contractor and the union.
